Workouts with Jane Ellison

Description:

While in residence at Western Front, Brice MacNeil produced the single-channel video Workouts with Jane Ellison, which shows clips of Jane Ellison, Kate Craig, Karen Henry, Ann Hepper, Annette Hurtig, Susi Milne, and Chick Rice performing everyday tasks around Western Front. Paper, and the act of cutting and pasting, creates a poetic thread that unites the seemingly disparate activities, such as hand rolling tobacco, arranging paper on a light box, slicing rubber, scanning and printing documents, writing on a typewriter.
