Description:

Re: Union was a week-long Contact Improvisation residency with Jane Ellison, Danny Lepkoff, Nita Little, Curt Siddal, and Nancy Stark Smith. The name of the residency was a reference to Grand Union—the post-modern dance/performance group in New York City which included Steve Paxton, Yvonne Rainer, and Barbara Dilley, and was influential in the development of Contact Improvisation.

While in residence, the artists in Re: Union presented workshops in the EDAM studio, which were largely attended by Vancouver-based dancers who were working with Linda Rubin’s company, Synergy.
