Location:

Grand Luxe Hall, Western Front

Description:

In All About Words, Nancy Cole performed texts by Gertrude Stein while in character as the author for an audience of children in the Grand Luxe Hall. The hour-long performance unfolded on a set composed of a rug, a chair, and a writing desk arranged to emulate Stein’s Parisian home. To evoke the writer's life and work, Cole led the audience through sing-alongs and linguistic exercises based on Stein’s poems, plays, and songs.

Curated by Mary Beth Knechtel.
