Concert by Quasar Saxophone Quartet

Description:

While in residence at Western Front, Quasar Saxophone Quartet collaborated with eight composers from across Canada—Rebecca Burton, Émilie Girard-Charest, Alec Hall, Jim O’Leary, Ofer Pelz, Ana Dall’Ara-Majek, William Kuo, and Hiroki Tsuromoto—on the creation of four new works. These compositions were performed by the quartet during a workshop preview in the Grand Luxe Hall. The ninety-minute concert concluded with a roundtable discussion with the musicians and composers.
