Talk by Mats Stjernstedt

Western Front hosted Mats Stjernstedt as a visiting curator from May 27 to 31, 2008 in what would be his first research trip to Canada to seek out Canadian artists for potential exhibitions at Index – The Swedish Contemporary Art Foundation, Stockholm. 

Stjernstedt gave a talk about his role as the director of Index and his curatorial practice that focused on promoting the work of young Swedish artists, and international, renowned, and established artists in a sympathetic, non-hierarchical relationship.
