Anna Friz gave a talk that was co-programed with the Upgrade! Vancouver series organized by Kate Armstrong and as a part of a multi-day celebration of Art’s Birthday.

Friz, one of the artists in residence for Reverie: Noise City at Western Front, discussed the project on which this year's Art's Birthday was based.

She discussed contemporary hybrid radio practices and shared examples of her own work within the context of annual international Art’s Birthday celebrations that link artists through mail, telephone, radio broadcast, online streaming of sound and image, and satellite.
