Field:

Workshop

Location:

Grand Luxe Hall, Western Front

Time:

2:00 – 4:00 p.m.

Description:

While in residence at Western Front, Erín Moure presented a workshop that explored translation as a performance. Moure invited participants to work in pairs to translate a small poem together before reflecting as a group on the porosity of language, writing, and communication through translation.

The workshop was conducted primarily in English and welcomed writers with any level of multilingual experience (including unilingual), working across all genres.

Presented in partnership with The Capilano Review as part of their annual Writers-in-Residence program.
