Performance by Vanessa Jones and Hester Reeve
Description:
While in residence at Western Front, multidisciplinary artists Vanessa Jones and Hester Reeve developed and presented a new site-specific performance work for the Grand Luxe Hall.
Recent graduates of Newcastle upon Tyne Polytechnic in the United Kingdom, Jones and Reeve practiced both independently and collaboratively, making work that centred around human principles rather than any particular formal or aesthetic considerations. The artists were in Canada for ten months, presenting new work throughout their stay.
