Description:
American artist Michael Smith presented a comedic solo performance that unfolded in two parts on a domestic set in the Grand Luxe Hall.
The performance began with Smith as his persona “Mike,” a hapless middle-class man attempting to achieve the American Dream. During this segment, Smith bumbled around the set performing monologues, slapstick gags, and songs and dances with unconventional pacing precisely timed to music.
For the second part of the performance, Smith performed as “Baby Ikki,” an oversized toddler in a diaper and knit bonnet.
