Description:

Leo Smith performed two improvised sets in the Grand Luxe Hall using trumpet, flute, and various percussive instruments. The concert was followed by a discussion on the development of creative music and the genesis of the AACM (Association for the Advancement of Creative Musicians) in Chicago, United States. 

Presented in partnership with the Vancouver Jazz Society.
