Description:

Saxophilia saxophone quartet featuring David Branter, Tony Sheppard, Julia Nolan, and Colin MacDonald performed a forty-minute set outside the Orpheum Theatre’s frontage on Granville Street. 

The pieces performed were “Chelsea Bridge" (1941) by Billy Strayhorn (arr. Billy Kerr), “Hurl” (1996) by Graham Fitkin, “July” by Michael Torke (1995), “Children’s Songs” (1983) by Chick Corea, “Fast Walk” (1989) by Daniel Dorff, and “Prana” (1996) by Colin MacDonald. 

This performance was the fourth and final of the Street Music program.
