Description:
Noise not Noise was a two-day symposium exploring the changing role of noise in culture. Through public lectures, panel discussions, performances, and participatory events, Noise not Noise examined new realms for noise-making and its broader meanings and interpretations across disciplines.
The first day of the symposium closed with a concert by experimental musician K.K. Null. Performing from a table on the stage of the Grand Luxe Hall, his forty-minute set made use of various effects pedals and distorted vocals to explore the outer territories of electronica; balancing intense clashing waves of noise with delicate electro-acoustic ambience.
Null’s concert was also presented in conjunction with the Fake Jazz Festival.
