Description:

Personal Size was a site-specific performance by Judy Radul presented in a lecture hall at the University of British Columbia. For the opening portion of the work, Radul knelt on a table at the front of the room with her back to the audience. While nude, she read a text that reflected on embodiment and perceptions of body size alongside an audio recording. Later, she reappeared fully clothed in male drag and performed a lip-sync number to Frank Sinatra’s “I’ve Got You Under My Skin” (1936).

Commissioned by the UBC Fine Arts Gallery.
