At the invitation of Martin Bartlett, composer Alec Roth spent two months in Vancouver working with the community-based gamelan ensemble Gamelan Madu Sari on the music for a production of Shakespeare’s The Tempest at Simon Fraser University.
The dates of the play were: Mar 8 – 11, 15 – 18, 1989.
