Description:

Mary Lou is a four-channel video installation by Kate Craig. Filmed in Japan and the Pacific Northwest, the video contains diverse textural elements layered in squares on top of each other, such as glinting pools of water, roof tiles, raked sand, and leaves. While each channel presents a similar sequence of images, they aren’t exact duplications.

This channel's sequence of images is similar to, but not an exact duplication of, the other three channels.

Video documentation is available upon request.

Kate Craig stands in a narrow alleyway in Japan, operating a VHS camcorder as she records the scene ahead. In front of her, three men are busy renovating a wall.
