Kedrick James is an educator, artist, and musician based in Vancouver, Canada. His work focuses on arts-based research methods, place-based knowledge sharing, and the role of automation in digital lives and learning. As a sound artist, his practice involves spoken word poetry, and performing with chamber ensembles, jazz bands, and noise and electronic music groups. James is an associate professor of teaching and deputy head of the Department of Language and Literacy Education at the University of British Columbia.
