Description:

New Orchestra Workshop (NOW) Society presented a series of weekly workshops that explored improvised music with a rotating roster of facilitators. The workshops culminated in a public performance in the Grand Luxe Hall. 

Facilitators included Nikki Carter, Thomas Anfield, Kedrick James, Patrick Dubois, Jesse Zubot, Shubhendra Rao and Biplab Bhattacharya, Peter Bingham, and Marilyn Crispell.

Presented in partnership with Coastal Jazz & Blues Society and with support from the City of Vancouver, the Canada Council for the Arts, The Hamber Foundation, The Leo and Thea Koerner Foundation, and the BC Gaming Commission.

Western Front is a non-profit
artist-run centre in Vancouver.
