Description:

Bill Smith (reeds), David Lee (bass/cello), and David Prentice (violin) performed a concert that featured two sets of live music interspersed with screenings of films featuring jazz artists. 

The trio’s set included compositions dedicated to E. E. Cummings, Steve Lacy, and Al Neil, as well as original works by Smith and Prentice. The concert closed with an encore performance featuring pianist Al Neil. 

The film portion  included Theatre for a Story (1959), You See What I’m Trying to Say (1960s), and Misc. Music (1940s).
