Marina Roy is an artist, writer, and educator based in Vancouver, Canada. Her cross-disciplinary practice investigates the intersection between materials, history, language, and ideology. Acting as a bridge between culture and nature, ethics and drive, Roy’s work is based on research into psychoanalysis, bio politics, human-animal distinction, feminism, allegory, art history and linguistics. She is an associate professor in the Department of Visual Art & Theory at the University of British Columbia.
