Dana Claxton

Bio:

Dana Claxton is an artist from Wood Mountain Lakota First Nation, Saskatchewan, based in Vancouver, Canada. She works in film, video, photography, single- and multi- channel video installation, and performance art. Her practice investigates Indigenous beauty, the body, the socio-political, and the spiritual. She is an associate professor and head of the Department of Art History, Visual Art & Theory at the University of British Columbia.
