Daphne Marlatt

Bio:

Daphne Marlatt is a writer, editor, and educator based in Vancouver, Canada. Marlatt’s work experiments with language, grammar, and narrative through hybrid forms of poetry and prose. Her subjects are highly local, historical, and feminist, and are often informed by particular west coast sites. In 2006, Marlatt was made a Member of the Order of Canada in recognition of a lifetime of distinguished service to Canadian culture.
