Description:

Western Front hosted the launch event for a special edition of West Coast Line dedicated to the work of Phyllis Webb. Curated by Roy Miki and Irene Niechoda, the event celebrated the Winter 1992 issue “You Devise, We Devise: A Festschrift for Phyllis Webb” and included an afternoon session, a gala evening reading, and a buffet dinner.

The full-day event included presentations by Pauline Butling and Lorna Knight; a panel discussion with Douglas Barbour, Daphne Marlatt, and Sharon Thesen; readings by Webb, Daphne Marlatt, Smaro Kamobroueli Michael Ondaatje, Lola Lemire Tostevin, and Fred Wah; and a musical performance by Roy Kiyooka.
