Richard Fung is a video artist, activist, and writer born in Port of Spain, Trinidad, and based in Toronto, Canada. Fung's single-channel and installation works explore representations of Asian men in gay pornography while addressing the intersections between colonialism, immigration, racism, homophobia, HIV/AIDS, and his own family history. He is the founder of the queer advocacy group Gay Asians of Toronto, and professor emeritus in the Faculty of Art at OCAD University.
