Fit the Profile

Description:

Fit the Profile was an interdisciplinary performance ensemble composed of Irene H. Kuniyuki, Leslie Komori, and E. Kage, based between Vancouver, Canada, and Seattle, United States. Drawing on their Japanese ancestry and lived queer experience, they blended Taiko drumming with experimental performance practices. Their collaborative work foregrounded subjectivity, exploring identity and experience without reducing either to fixed categories.
