Description:

Riffing on the Dadaist Cabaret Voltaire, Cabaret Vulgare was a multimedia variety show featuring performance art, music, skits, dance, and poetry exploring all things obscene. 

Hosted by Hank Bull, the evening included performances by Steve Anthony, Fit the Profile, Myk Gordon, Kate Hammett-Vaughan, Brice MacNeil, Crissy Red, Ron Samworth, Judy Radul, and Lisa Robertson, among others; with a house band featuring Bull, Nikita Carter, and Paul Plimley. 

The evening also included screenings and digital media, including video documentation of Judy Radul’s performance Personal Size in Nijmegen, The Netherlands (1993), and an interview with Lydia Lunch produced by the CD-ROM zine, BLAM!

The evening was broadcast live on Neighbourhood TV by Bobbi Kozinuk.
