Joane Cardinal-Schubert

Bio:

Joane Cardinal-Schubert was a multimedia artist and curator from Alberta, Canada and a member of the Kainai Nation. Her artworks and writing addressed Indigenous sovereignty, cultural appropriation, and environmental concerns. She became a member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts in 1985.
