30th Anniversary Gala and Art Auction

Description:

Western Front’s 30th Anniversary Gala and Art Auction featured a catered dinner; performances by Peggy Lee, Ya-Wen Vivienne Wang, Eric Metcalfe and Hank Bull; and a live auction of works donated by artists.

The auction featured works by Robert Arndt, William S. Burroughs, Tom Burrows, Geneviève Cadieux, Kate Craig, Janet Cardiff and George Bures Miller, Stan Douglas, Rodney Graham, Mona Hatoum, Geoffrey James, Brian Jungen, James Lahey, Tim Lee, Liz Magor, Eric Metcalfe, Rober Racine, Philippe Raphanel, Jack Shadbolt, Kathy Slade, Grazia Toderi, Mina Totino, Jeff Wall, Ian Wallace, Gillian Wearing, Laura Wee Lay Laq, and Lawrence Paul Yuxweluptun.

Proceeds from the auction supported Western Front’s year-round art and music programs. A preview of the works took place in the Grand Luxe Hall on Mar 4, 2003.
