Description:
Noise not Noise was a two-day symposium exploring the changing role of noise in culture. Through public lectures, panel discussions, performances, and participatory events, Noise not Noise examined new realms for noise-making and its broader meanings and interpretations across disciplines.
The second day of the symposium featured two panels that focused on the state and function of noise in contemporary culture. The first panel featured twenty-minute presentations by Laura U. Marks, Isabelle Pauwels, and Michael Woodworth; followed by a conversation moderated by Clint Burnham, and a question and answer period.
