Description:
Presented and narrated in the style of an archaeological documentary, Cornucopia tells the fictional history of the 1984 Miss General Idea Pavillion and its destruction by fire in 1977. The video showcases an array of rotating ceramic cornucopias, and motifs from the pavillion including peeing poodles, crescent moons, and spilled cocktails. It serves as a commentary on the museum as a popular format and considers aesthetics as a form of hypnosis.
