Electric Slam

Description:

Electric Slam was a concert that featured trombonist Stuart Dempster and poet David Mahler. 

Dempster performed two commissioned musical theatre pieces: Luciano Berio’s "Sequenza V" and Rober Erickson’s "General Speech." Mahler presented two tape pieces: "Speech With Interpreter" and "Singing in the Style of the Poetti."

In the second half of the concert, audience members were invited to join in a participatory whistling composition.
