As part of the du Maurier International Jazz Festival, Anthony Braxton (flute, alto saxophone) and Marilyn Crispell (piano) performed four duets that combined composition and improvisation. Their performance in the Grand Luxe Hall was recorded and released as the live album Duets Vancouver 1989, published by Music & Arts.
