Description:

Alastair MacLennan’s installation 63 Minute Slide Show involved a synchronized slideshow between two slide projectors. One presented a series of images of a clock face with the minute hand advancing in increments; and the other presented a series of images of a putto in a garden that rotated incrementally on the spot. The slideshow was accompanied by a pre-recorded reading of a text titled “Alone.”

Inspired by MacLennen’s work with the I Ching, the installation proposed sixty-three positions in time and space, with the number forming the penultimate hexagram.
