F. Scott Fitzgerald Tea Reunion was a performance by Glenn Lewis presented at the Burnaby Art Gallery, in conjunction with his solo exhibition, Utopiary, Metaphorest and Bewilderness: Selected Works from 1967–1993. The performance comprised a series of happenings inside the gallery and in the garden among Lewis’s two outdoor installations, Bower and Signscapes.
Audience members were invited to tea while wandering between the pockets of activity. Wearing Lewis’s shark fin bathing caps, a group including Brice MacNeil, Paul Lang, and Nahn Duc Nguyen performed a choreographed procession while carrying “Hand of the Spirit Wands.” Inside, Judy Radul offered tea leaf readings, while a trio of piano, bass, and Brute Sax delivered a live jazz set.
