Arcade featured four artists who used video games and its cultural aspects in their work. Tending toward the self-reflexive, Emery, Lee, Petryshyn, and Rees drew upon the more than twenty-year history of computer games, their own participation, and continued fascination with the medium in popular culture. Works in this show contained whimsical observations on video game narrative structure, analyses of gaming psychology, and formal explorations into lo-fi consumer-level digital imaging.
An exhibition opening took place Mar 30, 2001. This exhibition was part of the Popular Format series.
