A choir performance of the seventh section of Cornelius Cardew’s The Great Learning (1971)—a choral composition based on texts by Confucius, in which anyone, regardless of their musical background, can perform.The public was welcome to join a series of weekly rehearsals leading up to the performance, which was conducted by Martin Bartlett.
