As part of the du Maurier International Jazz Festival, The Far East Side performed in the Grand Luxe Hall. Led by composer Jason Hwang on five-string violin, the ensemble featured Yukio Tsuji (shakuhachi and percussion) and Sang-Won Park (kayagum), presenting a program of improvisations that fused elements of their Chinese, Japanese, and Korean heritages with the lived experiences of first- and second-generation Asian Americans.
