Description:
Feminist Land Art Retreat’s production residency at Western Front involved the completion of No Man’s Land (2018), a video work that engages strategies of equestrianism, science fiction, and land art to subvert tropes established by the Western film genre; and propose alternative images of wilderness, freedom, and solitude. The work was presented in their exhibition Free Rein at SFU Galleries’ Audain Gallery.
Presented with SFU Galleries.
Western Front is a non-profit artist-run centre in Vancouver.
