While in residence at Western Front, artist Jeneen Frei Njootli worked within the ReMatriate collective to research histories of Indigenous women and non-binary activism while furthering the collective’s goals of community outreach through online avenues for advocacy and information sharing. Their research culminated in a Wikipedia Edit-a-thon event focusing on Indigenous women artists, and a reading with Olivia Whetung in the Grand Luxe Hall presented as part of the Intertextual series.
