Description:

Digestion was a performance by Don Ritter that involved a multi-channel moving image projection dynamically controlled by an audio feed. Visuals of boiling water, landscapes, and cows were spliced in sync with the audio, creating a seamless aesthetic experience between the video and sound.

This effect was achieved using custom software developed and controlled by Ritter during the performance, which "listened" to the audio and responded with video imagery. The software adjusted the visuals based on the pitch, loudness, tempo, timbre, and other characteristics of the soundtrack.

The performance was followed by a question and answer session with Ritter.

Video documentation is available upon request.
