While in residence, Terry Ewasiuk produced the single-channel video As the Petals Fall, a borderline psychodrama that teeters towards daytime television. In the thirty-minute video, Dorothy Dean plays a hysterical alcoholic widow who is up against a deceptive nephew, a sneaky business advisor, and the high pitched brattiness of a teenage daughter. Family breakdown and high finance go hand in hand in this colourful and humourous tale.
The video was shot at a mansion in Vancouver’s West Point Grey neighbourhood.
