The Canadian New Music Network presented two workshops in the Grand Luxe Hall as part of their cross country tour with other stops in Halifax, Toronto, and Victoria. The workshops were intended for independent new music artists, presenters, and arts organizations who wanted to improve the dissemination of their music through a range of media outlets.

The first workshop, led by Francine Labelle, was titled Maximizing Media Impact with a Limited Budget. This was followed by Jean-François Denis's workshop Technical, Practical, Historical and Philosophical Issues of Recorded New Music in the 21st Century: CDs, DVDs, MP3s, iTunes; What’s next, what should an artist do?
