Description:

Coordinated by Hank Bull and Robert Adrian X while he was in residence at Western Front, Wiencouver IV was a live exchange of telephone music and slow scan video between Vienna and Vancouver. The program featured live bands, performance art, and computer graphics.

Musical acts included The Haters, Halofern, Bolero Lava, Pas Paravant (with members Karl Kowanz, Renate Kowanz-Kocer, Hans Weigand, Günther Schrom, Wolfgang Poor, Felix Dorner, ManfreDu Schuh, and Wolfgang Stengel), Quasi Trevor, MHSK, and Elizabeth Fischer. 

The event also featured two performance works: Robert Adrian X, Great Moments in Modern Art (Part 2) and Mona Hatoum, So Much I Want to Say.

The Vancouver technicians were Bill Bartlett, Kate Craig, and David Kellin. The Vienna technical team included Ilse Gassinger, Karl Kubaczek, Helmut J Mark, Gerhard Taschler, and Zeiko Wiener.
