Talk by David Floren

Mar 8, 2004

Grand Luxe Hall, Western Front

Western Front hosted artist David Floren for a talk as part of an external Upgrade! Vancouver program organized by Kate Armstrong.

David Floren discussed his work as artist-in-residence at the University of British Columbia with remote event collection, mapping, and networked art. He presented an in-progress data streaming project and his interest in the social implications of translocalism as it related to the personal and the everyday, centered upon the concept of data visualization and the amplification of unseen events.
