FRONT: Stories for Video was a two-channel video installation produced by Hewson/Walker while in residence at Western Front in 1991.
The work juxtaposed found archival video excerpts with a time-lapse street scene filmed outside of Western Front overlaid with scrolling text. Together, these elements explored how subjectivity is shaped between narrative resolution and withholding closure, restraint and excess, and detachment and feeling.
The exhibition was accompanied by a publication.
