Location:

Grand Luxe Hall, Western Front

Time:

Description:

Inglish: Writing with an Accent was a two-day program of readings and talks on writing, ethnicity, gender, racism, and subjectivity by immigrant and Canadian-born writers from diverse backgrounds. The program sought to challenge the assumption that language is a neutral medium of expression and articulation, and addressed the implications of English as the language of dominance for writers working outside of mainstream expectations.
