Inheritance

Nov 13 — 18, 1989
Field:

Installation, Performance

Location:

Grand Luxe Hall, Western Front

Time:

9:00 p.m.

Description:

Randy Anderson’s performance and installation Inheritance addressed the dehumanizing effects of consumerism and its environmental impact. Blending the rational with the irrational, the inner with the outer, light with dark, and movement forwards and backwards, the piece invited reflection on the unfolding of history and the individual’s experience within the constraints of time.

Inheritance was performed on November 13, and remained as an installation on view in the Grand Luxe Hall until November 18.
