Description:
While in residence at Western Front, Joe Sarahan produced the single-channel video Holy Joe. Sarahan appears as the title character, Holy Joe, a male nun who belongs to the Christian church. Combining footage shot in Vancouver with computer animation, the work explores consumerism, religion, death, sexuality and vice to provoke the viewer to question their own morality.
The video features an original soundtrack by Brian Bolton, Gary Bourgeois, and Michael Clark.
