Description:

Rehearsal for Wider Stance was a series of three animated GIFs created by Anna Firth for the project No Single Dancer, curated by Jasmine Hynes. The GIFs, which depict anthropomorphic characters moving through choreographed gestures, were shared on Western Front’s Instagram, Twitter, and on the No Single Dancer project website. 

Presented with support from the Killy Foundation and the Audain Endowment for Curatorial Studies through the Department of Art History, Visual Art & Theory in collaboration with the Morris and Helen Belkin Art Gallery at the University of British Columbia.
