Description:
Beginning in 1970, Glenn Lewis started collecting a bank of topiary images and photographing suburban Vancouver gardens. This research led to a thorough investigation into the mythology of paradise as it relates to gardens, and further developed into a year-long trip, with photographer Taki Bluesinger through Europe, Afghanistan, Iran, and India. In Journey to Paradise, Lewis and Bluesinger presented a series of cibachrome prints that came out of their collaboration.
