Description:
One Piece for Everyone (1975) was a performance by Martin Bartlett in which he prepared a cauliflower curry on a table that was connected to a custom-made synthesizer. His cooking actions triggered various sounds, allowing the kitchen to operate as an instrument. Throughout this process, Bartlett read from texts on food, including The Raw and the Cooked (1964) by Claude Lévi-Strauss. Once the curry was complete, the audience was invited to share the meal.
